1920s Sunbeam layshaft Rack & Pinion type vintage motorcycle gearbox part. 3 1/2, 4 1/2hp.
I know most Sunbeams didn’t have 4 speed boxes until the early 1930’s but the Model 7 had a 4 speed as standard from 1925.
So, this may suit the 59cc Model 7 1924 / 25 on. The ratios in my book say that the 1925 to 1929 Model 7 had: 5.25, 7.0, 10.0, 15.7. The one that I’m selling has the following number of teeth: 27 t+ 22t + 18t + 15t.
So it may suit other Sunbeam motorcycles.

The teeth are used but none are damaged. The reason it looks like some of the photos are the same, is because they show the other side.
It isn’t cheap but these are very hard to find.
I’ve sold my 1930 Model 9 Twin Port and have decided to let go of a lot of spares that I have accumulated over the years as I am now only keeping one smaller Sunbeam. Please take a look at the other Sunbeam items for sale.
