1920s Triumph Flat Tank Model SD original magneto platform mount.
This mount was fitted to a 1924 Triumph Model SD engine that I have. The end of the crank is no good, so I’m splitting the engine and selling the parts separately.(Cases with a clear numbers, part of the crank, engine plates connecting rod and some timing gears / cam). I sold my Triumph SD a couple of years back.
It’s not a new casting. This is an original part. It will need a full clean. I just cleaned it enough to inspect it for damage. From what I can see, there is no damage. Even the thread is very good. It comes with the correct, original, flanged nut.
This is one of a few Triumph magneto platforms that I am advertising.
I have original parts catalogues for 1924 and 1925. I have attached images from the 1924 catalogue. There were five different magneto platforms listed. They range from 1915 through to 1924. My 1925 catalogue lists just one magneto platform. Please see the image with the list for each model. The picture that is in the catalogue is just one design.
This is advertised for one person to view before making it generally available. If he decides that it’s not suitable for his needs, I will put a price of £48 on it and it will be available for anyone else to buy.
