1925 Vintage motorcycle Triumph Model P engine cases, crank & connecting rod

£148.00

1925 Vintage motorcycle Triumph Model P engine cases, crank & connecting rod. The Triumph Model P was a popular motorcycle in the day. It made its debut in 1924 with a 494cc side valve engine. It was a budget machine, when compared to other 500’s in the market.

Triumph undercut every other 500cc model on the market. Despite its low price, the model was equipped with a 3-speed, hand-operated gearbox and all chain drive, as well as a carrier and toolbox. No wonder it was popular.

In 1925, Triumph sold about 30,000 Model P’s.

Production continued until the decade’s end, by which time the Model P had a number of derivatives, models N, Q and QA.

How do I know these vintage Triumph Model P engine cases are from 1925?

There are three letters stamped on the side of the engine case. They end in “OR”. Triumph used a coding system up to the end of 1923. They then completely revised the letter coding and ran this system between 1924 and 1934. Each year had two letters. The other letter showed the month that the engine was stamped. In this case, “ROR” stands for May 1925.

These Triumph Model P engine cases come with the crank and connecting rod. As you can see, there is nothing inside the timing chest. What you see is what you get.

Please make certain that these cases are what you need before you buy.

Condition of these Triumph Model P engine cases

I have cleaned the cases and inspected them for any serious damage. There don’t appear to be any obvious cracks. The cases have not been repaired and the underside is in good condition.

The rest of the cases look OK. The engine number is clear and unmolested. The crank turns smoothly and is not rusty.
