1932 Norton 16H SV Side Valve 500cc engine
I bought this engine, along with a few other 16H motors from a Norton enthusiast who certainly knows his way around an engine.
It has been rebuilt up to a point. The barrel is for a later engine (War dept) and it will need a +.030 piston.
The bottom end is very good. It comes with items to fit, including new valves, new valve springs and collets, new cams x2 (NOS), and some timing cover screws.
The magneto chain / timing cover is from another later engine, but has been re-shaped to fit this earlier engine.
This engine is being sold as a motor that needs a final build. Please come and check it over before buying. If you can’t do that, please send a friend. Failing that, you will just have to trust my description. I am more than happy to do you a short video.

Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
Collection: If you don’t want it shipped, I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
Payment: This site has a facility to pay online. Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.
