1934 New Imperial Model 40 rigid frame with clear frame number.
As I understand it, there was some cross-over with the Model 30. The 350cc Model 40 production was during the years 1934 and 1936. The 250cc Model 30 was available, 1933 – 1935.
So, you decide if you think this frame might suit your needs. The frame number begins with 24 (suggesting that it was supplied in 1934). It ends with the model number : 40.
This New Imperial Model 40 rigid frame has the rear frame section that people tend to need when looking around at projects.
Condition of the New Imperial Model 40 rigid frame
It’s used bur doesn’t have any rot. There are marks from general use but the frame looks straight. All of the lugs are still there.
As you can see from the images, it looks like it has had some strengthening work done around the neck. The front and rear petrol tank mounts look like they are on the same level. See the images. Better still, if you are in the UK, I encourage you to come and view it before you buy.
