1966 Triumph T100 SS 500cc Twin very good frame, swing arm and rear loop, with original continuation log book.
I bought this frame primarily because it came with the original RF60 continuation log book. It is an easy route to reclaiming the original registration number for the bike. However, my planned donor parts are all 1967 and one main difference is the rear fuel tank mount. As I already have a 1967 T100 frame, I will keep that, and let this one go, together with the paperwork.
For those that haven’t really dealt with claiming the old registration, it’s a relatively simple process. The DVLA have a website page that allows you to check if the registration is live on their records. I’ve already done this and it says “vehicle details could not be found”. The doom mongerers out there will tell you that this is the end of the trail. It’s not! It just means that the DVLA haven’t got any recent records (MOT, Sorn, tax, change of ownership etc) for that registration. You can do the entire application yourself, or you can do it the easy way. Join the TOMCC and ask the Registrar to help. He’s very helpful.
Back to the frame.
It’s very nice. Not mint, but very good. You get a frame with a clear (unmolested) frame number that matches the old log book. You get the main frame loop, rear loop and the swing arm. All of the original lugs are there, so this will make a nice stock 1966 T100SS.
Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
Shipping: I will ship it. I may separate the 3 frame parts to make a neater package. Packing a frame well takes time, so if you don’t like the shipping cost, come and collect it. There’s an option to collect without shipping charges.
Collection: If you don’t want it shipped, I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
