1968 Triumph Daytona T100 500cc unfinished project.
These are now very hard to get. I bought it to complete as a “survivor” but it’s too good. The previous owner has done most of the hard work. The frame parts have been powder coated. The engine is dismantled but is essentially mostly there and much of it has been refurbished including the barrels and head. It even has the wheels and forks.
At a glance, a few parts are not there. These include the petrol tank, seat, oil tanks and LH side cover together with mudguards. I wasn’t bothered as I have most of those parts in my private stash of parts. If you need them to complete the project, talk to me. I’m sure we can come to an arrangement.
The engine is missing a few parts such as timing wheels, oil pump, push rods and tubes. There may be more but that’s what I recall.
Essentially, you have the chance to buy one of the most sought after bikes in the T100 range. Anything from 1968 onwards is sought after as most of the earlier issues were sorted out by then. Frames are available, but finding a T100R engine in good condition is not as easy.
