1970 – 1973 Airhead BMW motorcycle COMPLETE front wheel /5 Series
Models: R50/5, R60/5, R75/5.

You can buy the hubs on their own and, occasionally, you can get most of a front wheel for these early 1970’s Barnstormers. But, this one comes complete. It even has the brake stay!
Take a look at the images.
Wheel rim. It’s a bit rough in places. I’ve polished a small part. It comes up a treat. You will never get rid of all of the nicks, but it’s a decent, straight, original alloy.
Hub. It’s actually dated 1974, even though they stopped selling the /5’s and moved onto the /6’s. The date casting is shown in the images, along with the part number.
Brake plate. It comes with what you see. Brake stay, two brake actuators, the drum brakes. All part numbers are shown in the pics. Brakes have a cast date of 1973.
Other items. As you can see, it comes with the axle / spindle. These are $80+ on their own. The bearings are fitted but I don’t guarantee them.
Overall: It’s used and I have only cleaned it enough to check it over for cracks or damage. I don’t see any. I have also started to polish it in places just to see if it will clean up. You can see that it will polish up nicely.
