A pair of Marston Sunbeam flat tank motorcycle engine valve caps. 3.5hp, 4.25hp engines
How many times have you seen an old side valve engine that is complete with the exception of the valve caps?
I’ve had these sitting in a box for a while and I now have no plans to own a Sunbeam flat tank motorcycle with a side valve engine. So, these are available.
They are original items, so ideal for the enthusiastic purist. The threads are good. The ali cap has not weathered as well as the bronze /brass one.
Dimensions:
Ali: Thread depth is 0.5″. Thread width is 1.75″ (It’s actually slightly more if you measure to the max of the thread). Height overall 2 5/8″.
Bronze / brass: Thread depth is 0.5″. Thread width is (It’s actually slightly more if you measure to the max of the thread) . Height overall 1″.
I’ve stated that they’re for 3.5hp, 4.25hp engines. I may not be correct, so please use the dimensions as your guide.
