AJS Matchless Competition Model 18MS GB28 gearbox from 1955.
The gearbox turns and appears complete. As I haven’t tested it in a motorcycle, it is for sale as it is. It turns smoothly and you should really open it up and give it a clean at the least.
The casings are decent. There are no obvious splits or cracks. The frame mounts are fine.
It is what it is really. An AJS Competition Model 18MS GB28 gearbox from 1955. GB28 was the number supplied for competition bikes. It might suit other model AJS Matchless 350cc or 500cc between 1954 and 1956.
The sprocket looks OK.
