AMAL 276FT carburettor for Norton Model 18 1953/54. Possibly for ES2.
- 1DJ float bowl chamber

This carb has very similar specifications to 276AU carb which fits Brough Superior SS80, AJS Model 2, Matchless Model X. I think the slides on these models are 3 and 4. This one is 4.
The following specifications are the same:

- Main Jet: 160
- Cutaway slide: #4

This is an original, complete, AMAL 276FT carburettor for Norton Model 18, 1953/54. I am quite sure that you can replace parts that you need to modify it so that it suits your needs.
Condition of the AMAL 276FT carburettor
It’s for sale as you see it. It has been cleaned and taken apart for inspection. All of the parts are shown in the images. It comes with the float. It also comes with the very nice pancake-style intake filter. These are usually missing.
The tickler works as it should and it is supplied with the dual feed banjo.
Other vintage motorcycle carbs
I have a few. Please see the current selection of carburettors here. Many are prewar brass carbs as that era is my particular interest and I occasionally have spares that I won’t be using.
