BSA 65-464 1930’s Connecting Rod and Big End 350cc B Series motorcycles
This BSA conrod comes with the big end bearing fitted. I have no idea if the big end is new or not. This conrod came to me in a box of parts and is of no use to me. I happen to have another connecting rod with the same BSA number, 65-464, which will be advertised separately. If you want both, I will combine postage for you.
I did a little research and found that the Alpha Bearings site was one of very few places that mentioned this BSA part number. So, I have condensed their information on here. If you wish to check with them, please see the Alpha Bearings site here.
The BSA 65-464 1930’s Connecting Rod and Big End 350cc B Series motorcycles listed with Alpha are:
1937:
Side Valve models: B23
OHV models: B24, B25, Single Port, Sports, B26
1938:
Side Valve models: B23
OHV models: B24, B25, Single Port, Sports, B26, Empire Star
1939:
OHV models: B24, B25, Single Port, Empire Star
1940:
OHV: B26, B29, Silver Star
As far as I can work out, all models used the Alpha Bearings big end “B6” but they made a special note next to the 1937 Sports & B26. They say the part is B63.
You will need to decide if this part is what you need. I have only relayed what was supplied online.
If you happen to be building a B-Series BSA, then this is a useful spare to keep anyway.
