Burman GB gearbox GB25 issued to 1954/5 Ariel 650cc FH Huntmaster
This is a Burman gearbox. It was supplied to many AMC-type brands: Norton, Ariel, AJS and Matchless. However, this one has the numbers stamped with GB25 E55.
GB25 tells us that it was supplied to Ariel for the FH Huntmaster 650cc motorcycles in 1955.
I’m quite sure it could be used on other models / makes.
I haven’t tested it in a motorcycle. It’s for sale as a gearbox that turns and clicks through the gears. The casing is in good condition. The mounts are fine and the outer cover is ok. There are marks here and there but nothing awful. It’s a bit grubby in places.
I have a few of these Ariel gearboxes. They range in years from 1954 to 1957 and model variations are NH Red Hunter, VB 600 and the FH 650 Huntmaster. Please have a look at the other listings if this one doesn’t suit your needs.
