Calthorpe or AJS Big Port vintage motorcycle engine cylinder barrel
I thought the barrel was for an AJS, but it was with an Hepolite Piston (NOS in box) labelled “Calthorpe Type C Pt # 2019 +0.030) So, it may be for the Calthorpe or it could be that someone intended to use the Calthorpe pistin in an AJS barrel.
I guess, if you’re looking at this ad, you will know instantly what the barrels is off. Triumph’s are my thing, so my limited knowledge doesn’t extend to Calthorpe motorcycles. I could spend hours looking at pictures on the web, or I could just offer it here cheap.
Either way, the barrel has some chipped fins. The bore is nice and is well greased.
