Classic motorcycle Panther M100 Amal 389/21 carburettor 1957-65
This Amal carb came to me with a load of other ones. I needed some of them for my own motorcycles. However, I don’t have a Panther M100, so I have no use for this carb.
The Amal 389/21 is the one that was supplied for the Panther M100 between 1957 and 1965.
If you can get one new, they retail at around £300.
It is incomplete and is only on here for one person to view. If he decides that it’s not for him, then I will add a price to the page and it will be generally available.
Condition of the Panther M100 Amal 389/21
It’s being sold as incomplete and needing a little bit of work.
The slide moves. But it doesn’t move as freely as it should. The carb needs a good clean. It has the #2 389 slide and there is a needle fitted.
There is no float or float needle and the 2 (of 3) screws for the float chamber cover are not original. They fit, but they are countersunk with a flat head.
Other Amal carbs
I have a few. They are mostly for pre-war vintage motorcycles. Please take a look at the other listings here.
