Early prewar motorcycle steel oil tank with manual pump and original steel cap.

Sorry, I have no idea what this is off. I bought it because it was interesting and a nice original piece with patina. The hand pump to the site has a good spring return. It looks a bit like part of a Best and Lloyd oil pump but the brass push-handle has lettering that I don’t recognise. Can someone educate me please. It’s worn but one word begins with “shu” and the other ends with “ley”.

Dimensions are approximate. About 7″ wide by 7″ deep. The mounts are 2″ centre-to-centre. I am happy to provide more accurate dimensions. Just ask.

I know it’s not cheap but it does have a decent cap and pump.
