Early Style T100 3TA 5TA Triumph Gearbox Cover T1637 57-1637.
I’ve checked through all of my parts lists for each year. As seems to be normal now, Triumph didn’t bother updating the parts catalogues when they updated an item. To explain. the 3TA 5TA T100 models all used the same outer gearbox cover. I ran a check in all early lists from 1958 to 1966. The outer cover was always listed as E1450 from 1958 until 1963. Then it changed to E1870 in 1964.
So, I am sure that this is an early outer gearbox cover for the 3TA, 5TA, T100 and possibly T90. But please make your own checks. I can offer to do some dimensions if you need them.
Condition is as you see in the images. Used but not abused. Someone has had a go at polishing it. I’d say that it needs a good polish to bring it back to life.
