Inner & outer Timing covers for Norton 16H, Big 4 Poss Model 18 ES2
OK, I am guessing a bit. I am pretty sure it’s for a 16H, but you will need to be the expert.
The cast number on the Norton outer timing cover is E6972. The cast number on the inner cover is less clear. It appears to begin with E697….
I imagine that Norton changed these timing covers over the years, so please study them to make sure that is the one that you need. In fact, I have noticed a few small differences between the ones that I have owned. Check carefully.

Condition of the inner & outer timing covers for Norton.
The good points. They are tidy and clean. They don’t have any huge ugly weld repairs.
The not-so-good points. There is a very light crack in the outer cover as shown in the images. Someone has over-tightened the fastenings. On that subject, one screw will definitely need replacing. It’s worn. If you look through the images, you will see that there are two mounts that have broken off on the inside. It’s not a disaster. You could even use the cover as it is.
