Marston Sunbeam 1932 Model 9 / 9A 4 Speed constant mesh gearbox AW series.
Prior to 1932, Model 9 Sunbeam motorcycles had 3-speed constant mesh hand-change gearboxes. New for 1932, Sunbeam introduced the 4-speed constant mesh hand-change gearbox. I
t was fitted to the 500cc Model 9 and 600cc Model 9A.
I understand that it was used for one year only. Sunbeam reverted to an earlier design of clutch bridge in 1933. So, if you have a 1932 Marston Sunbeam Model 9 / 9A, then here’s your chance to buy a spare AW Series gearbox that is nice and clean inside.
It turns nicely and the casing is in decent condition. There aren’t any breaks. I have a short video showing it all turning. If you would like to see it, please get in touch.
