It’s a narrow box, so it may also suit the TT model.
- Year. 1926
- The ‘R’ confirms Model 1 or 2 Sunbeam.
- “252” is a 1926 batch number for gearboxes made for 350cc side valve.
Condition of the Marston Sunbeam Sidevalve Flat Tank models 1 & 2 part-gearbox
Things like mounts and facings are good. You get the parts as shown in the images and the casings look decent. The internal selector and external lever are fine. The teeth on the gears that are installed are fine. The case does NOT have any cracks or welds. The threads on the studs are fine and the keyway looks fine too.
Bottom line. This Marston Sunbeam Sidevalve Flat Tank models 1 & 2 part-gearbox is a good basis to begin a spare gearbox build up.
