Norton 1957 Model 50 350cc Engine Single cylinder classic motorcycle motor – SOLD

NOW SOLD

Gone to the USA

Norton 1957 Model 50 350cc Engine. Single cylinder classic Norton lightweight motorcycle.

This engine is loosely assembled. It is being sold on the basis that it will require a rebuild.

However, the component parts in the images are decent. The engine turns and the piston rises and falls in a smooth manner.

The cases are decent and the engine numbers are clear and unmolested. The engine number is five digits and begins with 722XX, next to the bore and stroke of 71 x 88.

The fins on the barrel and head are OK. As you can see in the images, the timing gear is there together with the oil pump. It comes with the main (inner) timing cover but no outer cover.

The ali cylinder head appears to be all there with valves, springs etc but assume it will need a rebuild.
There are no push rods or tubes. Many of the outer nuts and machine screws are missing.

There you have it. One 1957 Norton Model 50 motor available for rebuild.

Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.

Shipping: If you don’t see a price, please ask. Thanks. International shipping available. The engine will be packed very carefully. I have plenty of experience. I only ever ship with tracking. It’s heavy, please don’t assume it will be cheap.

Delivery? I might be able to deliver subject to a contribution for my costs. Alternatively, you can arrange your own courier.

Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.

Taxes: Please note that IMPORT DUTIES are not something I can control. If you are buying from outside the UK, there is a chance that you will have to pay import taxes. Import taxes vary from country to country. If there are charges to pay, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research the cost and pay the duties. The price that you see on my advert is for the item and not the item plus whatever taxes might be due.
If you pay the ebay invoice, ebay will add the taxes on top and this is usually calculated by adding the sale price + the shipping cost quoted. This is out of my control.
However, if you decide to pay me by some other way (bank transfer for example), I can lower the import tax that you are likely to pay.

Collection: I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
