Norton Commando primary outer cover chain case 750 850
I have no idea which model / year of Norton Commando this is for. All I can say is that it has not suffered the usual breaks / chips / weld repairs that many other ones have,
The chain case inspection caps are all there and the two larger ones have numbers cast on them. The number is 042039.
The main Norton Commando primary outer cover does not have any cast numbers on it.
1970’s Norton Commando vintage motorcycle spare part. The part number might be 06-2585. I am not familiar with the Commando model, so please decide for yourself.
Condition of the Norton Commando primary outer cover
Overall good. With some fine polishing, you will have a really good original chain case. If you look closely to the outer side, there are small scores where someone has been enthusiastic with their cleaning in the past. As mentioned, a small amount of time with a polisher will remove the light scoring. The pictures don’t really show it.
Take a look at the rear of the cover. It’s very good. No scraping and the facings are good too.
