Norton vintage motorcycle top yoke for sidecar with  7″ centres and stem dia 1″

This top yoke has been painted silver. The metal underneath the chipped paint is very clean and looks like steel rather than Ali. The word “Sidecar” is stamped in the top of the yokes. They look like fairly standard Norton motorcycle top yokes to me. The threads are ok.

There is a number cast on the underside but I can’t make all of it out. It’s in the pictures. It might say “DE18” like another top yoke that I have but it looks a bit longer than that.

As I understand it, apart from the stamping, the physical difference between the solo and sidecar yokes is the angle of the stanchion tubes in relation to the headstock tube. On the solo type these are parallel to each other, while the sidecar type have a small angle to push the wheel further forward making the angle of the forks shallower than the headstock.

I have other Norton top yokes. Please ask. There’s one that is a John Tickle style but I think it may have been made by Dresda and there’s one for clip-on handlebars.
