Norton vintage motorcycle 500T 490cc single cylinder head.
- Good fins
- Good threads
- With valves
- With exhaust clamp
Well…. That’s what I think it is. It looks almost identical to the ali head on my Model 7, with the exception of being larger. The dome diameter is around 79mm. It doesn’t have the gaps in the fins like an ES2 Ali cylinder head. The pushrods are enclosed within the fins.
If it is for a 1948 – 1953 Trials single cylinder Norton 500T, well I have just advertised some cases for one.
Condition. Very good. Good fins and threads. Two of the rocker cap threads have been heli-coiled. The head comes with all four cylinder head bolts as shown, together with a very nice ali screw-in exhaust clamp. The threads for that are good too.
I suppose if you’re looking at this ad, you will know precisely which model this is for. You will also know that they are not easy to find. Try searching for one online. I couldn’t find one!
It’s here and it’s got to go, so it’s priced sensibly (for what it is).
You might also be interested to know that I currently have a NOS piston with rings and pin for a 1948-52 490cc Norton. It’s Plus 30 and the number is 8617. Being sold separately from this cylinder head.
