Original 1920’s Triumph flat tank motorcycle carburettor.
Veteran Triumph Twin Barrel carb.
Refurbished and ready to use.
These early Triumph carburettors are becoming very difficult to source. I happened to have a complete carburettor body in my box of early brass carbs and decided to have it refurbished by a professional. He had the rest of the parts, including the float bowl and new internals. So, I decided to go ahead and have it all rebuilt so that it was usable again.
As far as I am aware, there are only two sizes of early Triumph motorcycle carburettors. I have owned both. This size would be appropriate for the Models P, H, SD etc. The smaller one was built for the smaller flat tank Triumphs. Here is a link to one of the smaller ones.
This type of carb was supplied between 1915 and 1927.
Condition of the original 1920’s Triumph flat tank motorcycle carburettor
It is original with the exception of some internals that have been replaced because of wear. As you can see, it has external marks from age, but this carb is ready to be used subject to some fine tuning.
It has been refurbished with new internals. It has the clamp.
** The float is not part of this sale. The float is on loan and I am sourcing a new replacement.**
Other early Triumph parts.
In addition to this original 1920’s Triumph flat tank motorcycle carburettor, I occasionally unearth early parts. I had a nice Triumph SD at some point and became obsessed with acquiring spares just in case it broke. As I unearth them, I will add them to the site. If what you seek isn’t there, please ask.
