Original Ariel Square Four oil tank.
I understand that these are not currently being reproduced. I have put it at a sensible fixed price.
I believe this Ariel Square Four tank is for the following years:
- 1949 – 1952 Mk1 Ariel Sq 4.
- 1953 – 1955 Mk2 Ariel Sq 4.
From what I can see there are no cracks and no welds / extra brazing.
The top and bottom brackets are good. The breather tower and oil return look fine too.
The threads look OK.
It has a ding in one panel. It’s the forward leading panel as fitted on the bike. It’s shallow and might even push out.
Inside, it’s oily but will need flushing out.
Bottom line, It’s a used Ariel Sq4 oil tank that could do with a rub-down and repaint but it’s a perfectly usable part.
