Pair engine cases for 1928 Triumph N Deluxe clearly stamped.
Pre 1930 vintage Triumph motorcycle engine spare part. This set of engine cases match the model year 1928, although they were made (and stamped) in September 1927.
Like many manufacturers, the model year didn’t match the calendar year. They usually released new models and revisions to existing motorcycles, in September. This coincided with the motorcycle show in London. So, a 1928 model could have been made in September 1927 and even registered then.
If you have a 1927 Model N Deluxe Triumph, this set of cases might be for you. It’s always a good idea to hold a stock of spares. I have seen plenty of Model H and Model P engines, but this is the first pair engine cases for 1928 Triumph N Deluxe that I have come across.
The engine stamped number range began with 500001 for the Model N. You can see the number in the images. These are the 279th set of cases made for this model. You will also see three letters stamped to the right of the number. The letters “MT” represent the year (1927) and the letter “O” represents the month that they were made. Condition of these engine cases for 1928 Triumph N Deluxe
Used but without any major cracks and no welds. They are fairly clean so that you can inspect them in the images. There has been some corrosion on one case in the lower section. (see the images).
