Royal Enfield petrol tankPre-1930 original vintage Royal Enfield fuel tank with the “pie-crust” edges.
I believe this flat tank is circa 1928 and for the 350cc OHV Model 355. I am not certain, so please take a good look before you buy. You are always welcome to come and view it before you go ahead. Please message me for an appointment. It might suit other models of the flat tank Royal Enfield range.
It’s a lovely solid tank with some original paint.
Approximate overall dimensions are:
- Length overall: 22-1/2″ (57cm)
- Width (widest):9-1/8″ (23.4cm)
- Height (at highest point not including fittings and cap apertures): 4-3/4″ (12cm)
- Distance between front fixing points (centres): 4-1/2″ (11.5cm)
- Distance between rear fixing points (centres): 4-1/2″ (11.5cm)
- Distance between front &rear fixing points (centres): 10-1/2″ (26.7cm)
Condition of the vintage Royal Enfield fuel tank
It’s almost 100 years old. It has marks and is missing paint. However, as you can see, it retains some of the original paint. It’s solid but will still need a clean out.
