This original front wheel is in nice used condition. I thought it might suit my 1947 Triumph 3T DeLuxe. However, it seems that the hub is from 1951-on. So, I am selling it.
As you can see, it’s a used original WM1-20 steel rim. The part number for the rim is W870. The brake drum #W940 shows as being only between 1951 and 1956, even though the brake plate (W585) is also for earlier Triumphs including my 3T.
It’s a decent front wheel that would do with a clean. The rim has been painted. However, it’s a usable wheel. The brakes are unused and the 7″ brake plate is in good condition.
So, if you need a Pre Unit Triumph Trophy TR%5 Front Wheel, 1951-1956, 7″ hub measuring WM1-20 and on the original steel rim, then here’s your chance. You could just bolt it on and go. Although, I have no idea how old the tyre is.
