Early vintage motorcycle frame for V-Twin 1920s – NSU?

I’ve had this frame for quite a while. I had planned to build a special with it. The gearbox housing is for a 4-stud gearbox. I know a CS Sturmey Archer gearbox fits as I have offered mine up.
The frame has numbers are stamped. I have shown them in the images. There appears to have been a plate added close to the gearbox. The whole frame is professionally made and is certainly heavy.

What does it fit? I have absolutely no idea. Various friends, who are better informed than me, have suggested everything from Harley Davidson / Indian (I don’t think so), to Scandanavian and European bikes. Because of the seat mount, I think it’s probably European. It is clearly for a V-Twin engine. The rigid rear is very well made and almost looks “Norton” or early NSU. It could suit a nice JAP V-Twin.

I’m sure there is someone out there who knows what this frame is for. If so, then they have got a bargain. After many months of searching, I can’t find anything like it so it must be fairly rare.
I’ve offered it for the same price as a rigid 1930’s Velocette frame, or a 1930’s NSU as I sold one of those a while back.
