Triumph Pre Unit 3ta 5ta Nacelle top with Chronometric Smiths speedometer, Ammeter, light switch and ignition switch. (No key but they all look very similar!)
The Speedometer is 0 -1 20, suggesting that the nacelle wasn’t fitted to a WD mid-1960s 3TA as I first thought. Maybe it was, but someone was ambitious about their intended speed and put a 0-120 mph speedo in there!
The speedometer number is SC. 3304/00 1620. I can’t find that number in my records. I can find Triumphs fitted with numbers close to this. It has the trip adjust attached.
It’s for sale as you see it. The wiring is attached. The paint is not the best but the nacelle top is solid enough. I have no idea if the speedometer or ammeter work.
At this price it’s worth taking the chance.
PLEASE: Look at the pattern of the holes in the nacelle. They are the best clue as to whether it will suit your needs. It looks like one for 1963-66 models (97-1781 or H1781 WD) to me. It’s always a school day. So if you know for sure, drop me a message.
