Triumph Pre Unit Rigid 6T Thunderbird Alternator version Outer & Inner Primary Covers – T1055 T1056.
These are the 19.5″ long cases. They are original items.
I’ve been hanging on to these for years, in the vague hope of owning a nice early rigid Triumph Thunderbird. Reality has kicked in as project rigid Thunderbirds are now as rare as these cases. So it’s time to move them on.
Please take a good look through the images. They aren’t highly polished as I’ve never bothered to do that. They are just good usable cases. One of the three holes around the alternator area will need a repair. They have marks from use and the cap is lightly corroded but usable. There has been a weld repair. It’s very evident on the inside of the outer cover. On the outside, there are little pinholes from the heat. There is a small weld repair and a couple of very small chips. I’ve shown them in the images.
Please make certain that these are the cases you need as there are quite a few variations. If you have any doubts, please ask for dimensions or more pictures. Better still, come and take a look.
