Triumph pre-unit swinging arm 500cc – 650cc from 1955-1962.
I had this swing arm with a pre-unit frame. It was part of a project that I was building up. I have sold the frame and most of the other parts. Somehow, this swinging arm got missed out.
This swinging arm is in decent condition. The cast number is very difficult to read. It looks like F3582 or F3532. Anyway, the cast number doesn’t necessarily mean it is also the part number.
Here are the part numbers from 1955 to 1960. The cover the 500cc models and the 650cc bikes.
- 1955 – F3778
- 1956 – F3778
- !957 – F1431
- 1958 – F1431
- 1959 – F1431
- 1960 – F4131
Please use the dimensions in the images as a guide to make sure that you are buying the right swinging arm.Frankly, I can’t see the difference at a glance.
I am happy to measure anything specific. Please ask before you buy.
- Inside the spindle forks – 7-1/2″
- Inside the front attachment – 4-7/8″
