Prewar or WD Triumph 3HW 3H Cylinder head with rockers and valves.
Part number is E1132 for the 3H / 3HW War Department Triumph 350cc side valves.
I have compared it with the 3HW engine that I have. The head looks identical with two exceptions. Instead of a cast number on the side, it just has a “J” cast and it has oil lines from the rocker spindles.
I would hazard an educated guess and suggest that the “J” is a war time production run casting.
Condition of the Triumph 3HW 3H Cylinder head
Apart from a repaired fin on the underside that needs tidying, this head is very nice. There are two small chips to fins and the repair could be tidied up. Once fitted to a barrel, it’s unlikely that you would even see it.
If you have the right engine for this Triumph 3HW 3H Cylinder head, it makes sense to have a spare.
Other Triumph engines and parts
I currently have a 1939 Triumph Single 250cc OHV 2H engine available. I have a few others parts for prewar Triumph singles. Please see the selection of Pre-War Triumph parts here.
