Triumph set Pre Unit T100 5T Close Fin Ali barrels (E2958) and cylinder head (E2679)
Bore is STD 63mm.
I believe this set are the the later variation, with the deeper spigot on the barrels to fit the head and with the larger inlet valve in the head.
I have a few close fin ali heads and barrels. This is a set that I have had for a while. They would pair nicely with the big bearing T100 engine cases that I currently have available. If you’re planning on building up a close fin al Triumph pre-unit engine for the 500cc models, then this set is a good start.
Condition:
Barrels. Good, well greased. The bores wll still need a light hone as they have been stored a while.before my ownership. The fins are generally good with just one chip on the lower left. The barrels come with two tappet blocks. 8 stud threads are OK and they look like they have already been re-done. The barrels will need a clean but I believe they are replacement sleeves.
Cylinder head. Overall good. The fins are good, apart from one on the underside and a small one on a tip on the front left. Fortunately, it’s an easy repair as it’s a bottom fin. The threads are good for the rocker covers. They will need a clean as usual. One of the valve guides is broken.
Others
If you want just a cylinder head, or a set of barrels, I have some others. They are not all advertised yet. Someone has made the fin repairs where necessary but the extra ali will need to be cut off and cleaned up. It’s probably best if you come and take a look at them if you can.
