Triumph T20 Tiger Cub motorcycle STD gearbox transmission cluster for 1964 and before.
There’s nothing fancy about this Triumph Tiger Cub gear cluster. No Wide or Close ratio gears. It’s for the STD T20 motorcycle. I have based this assumption on the teeth count on the gears as the gears don’t have any stamped numbers. I have cross-checked with the parts lists through the years and it looks like the gear cluster is for the standard T20 (Not T20 SM, SH, SL, T and others).
in 1957/58 the T20 and T20C part numbers were different, as were some of the teeth numbers. So, I’d say that this gearbox cluster might be useful for other earlier cubs, but was likely for the std T20 from 1959 through to 1964, inclusive. It was also fitted to the T20C in 1959.

- Cluster (3rd and Low) – T1588 – 25T and 16T
- High – T1514 – 28T
- 2nd – T1089 – 20T
Layshaft
- Cluster – T1591 – 17T and 25T
- 3rd – T1094 – 20T
- Low – T1095 – 29T
Kickstart Spindle and Pawl – T1279
Condition: It’s used but in good condition. It remains oily and there are no nasty little blemishes. The teeth are all there and without chips. They will need cleaning before use.
