Velocette KTT vintage motorcycle Oil pump assembly K79 (might suit KSS KTS).
I have a few Velocette oil pumps and parts so I have decided to let some go. I know that you can get a revised version of this oil pump, but some people will prefer the original item.
From what I can work out from the parts books, this K79 oil pump is for the KTT Velocette. I have a parts book for the KSS KTT and KTS models from 1932 and K79 features in the book. My other parts book for the KSS / KTS models lists an oil pump that looks identical to me, as K78AS. Anyway, this one has K79 on the cover.
What you see in the images is what you get. I have disassembled the pump. Everything turns. I have shown images of each side of the gears so that you can see if there’s any wear. The is a little wear to the narrow loose gear.
I have a few other parts that are semi-related.
- More oil pump bodies with shafts and some gears
- Pump coupling
- Some vertical bevel gears including top and bottom versions,
- Some bevel pinion bush housings
- one gland nut
- Two thin couplings
