Velocette motorcycle M45/7 Venom Viper MAC MSS engine timing cover.
The numbers are: M45/7 – W77 – 47FU9
This timing cover came to me with a load Velocette MOV engine parts. As far as I am aware, the MOV would have had a different, earlier, timing cover. However, I think the engine components has aspirations of becoming a pretty race engine. So, I think the previous owner was about to use this cover on the 1932-35 engine cases.
Anyway, it is what it is. An ali Velocette motorcycle M45/7 Venom Viper MAC MSS engine timing cover, more likely used on the later swinging arm models. It’s probably best suited to the MAC and the Venom when they had the ali barrels and heads.

Good. It looks like it has been polished a bit. It’s not perfect. But it is very nice. The holes are all OK and the facings are OK too.
