Vintage flat tank BSA petrol tank 1924-26 H L26 S26 557cc and others.
Looking at the profile of this fuel tank, I believe it is for the vintage flat tank BSA models from between 1924 and 1926. Prior to these years, the front of the tank was more angular. From 1927, the whole tank appeared to be shorter and has a different profile at the rear.
The tank appears to be stamped with the number 24, so I imagine this indicates 1924 year. See the images. There is a 4-digit number above “24”
If you know better on the models and years, please let me know.
It’s cheap because it needs repair.
Condition of the Vintage flat tank BSA petrol tank
For the most part, it’s a nice tank in original paint. However, it needs repair. Please see the images, it has a small hole at the rear on the right side and a very small hole just above it. The rest of the tank seems to be nice and solid.
