1972 T120 5 Speed Triumph Bonneville light project is about to be available.
UPDATE: This bike has found a new home. Gone to a lovely chap in London.
I’ve decided to let this one go. It’s a right-shift 5-speed gearbox version of the bullet proof 1970’s Bonneville range. It’s less of a project and more of a weekend polishing really. As you can see, someone has cut the air boxes to accommodate the Mikuni’s. My plan was to make it look like a bike from 2 years earlier anyway. All it needs is a pair of side covers that look like the earlier Triumph’s. They are slightly larger and cost about £80 but they make all the difference.
The bike runs well. It has the best that the Triumph development team could offer. Conical hubs, twin leading shoe front brake, a well developed engine, Ali splayed head, export (slim) fuel tank and those US raised handlebars. The seating position is great….. Very relaxed.
It’s registered in the UK and the V5 is in my name.
It will be listed on here shortly. If you want it, talk to me. It will only be £4,500. (Not less!)
