1921 -24 Harley Davidson D Model V-Twin Engine cases and pair of connecting rods.
“The Big Twin” or Model 1925 was introduced in 1921 as the D-model. In 1925, the E-model came along. This is for the 74 Cubic inch motor.
As the engine number is D727, I think this is fairly on in the production of the D model.
The two halves have matching numbers. So, it’s nice to know this is an original pairing.
I only have the cases and the connecting rods. The conrods have the big end bearings. The conrod numbers are:
- DE18/5
- DE17/6
The cases are in good condition overall, with a very light amount of oxidisation on the primary drive side. The top / forward engine mount has been repaired. It’s not pretty but it’s functional. It could do with tidying up.
