This Pioneer Royal Enfield Model 180 has recently undergone a complete restoration by a well-known specialist and collector.
It is only available due to a change in the owner’s circumstances.
Like all other Pioneer / Veteran Royal Enfields, this machine is equipped with the Royal Enfield patented rear hub incorporating a rubber cush drive. Many other motorcycle manufacturers used this rear hub until the mid 1920’s.
It was also fitted with the Royal Enfield 2-speed gear that used twin primary chains.
Power was supplied courtesy of a JAP 6 H.P. V-Twin.

This 1913 Royal Enfield Model 180 veteran motorcycle has been with the current owner since 1915. Since then the motorcycle has been the subject of a meticulous rebuild. It’s so fresh from rebuild that it will need some running-in time.
This Royal Enfield Model 180 is being offered with a lovely wicker sidecar to complete the combination. It was added so that the owners could participate in various rallies together. It remains unused since fitment.
The 6 H.P. JAP V-twin is a very capable engine and is the perfect partner on a Pioneer combination outfit. It offers the sought-after reliability, together with sufficient power to motor two people along.
This motorcycle is an ideal machine to have in your collection. It means that the owner and a friend can enjoy rallies. Or you can carry spares in the sidecar for all of your friends. (It’s unlikely that you will need to carry your own spares).
The motorcycle comes with a Pioneer Certificate, allowing you eligibility for entry into various famous runs, such as the Pioneer Run and The Banbury Run, Of course, there are many runs in other countries too.
