1920’s or early 1930’s ML Magneto Model CM-1 for single cylinder motorcycles.
This particular one was refurbished a while ago and has been stored well since then.
Take a look at the images. there are some new parts and the points area is extremely clean. The pickup is there. I have used an incorrect (modern) HT lead just to make sure that the spark is good still. You will need to get your own lead for this to connect properly with the pickup.

Other than the Patent number (176032), there are two other numbers stamped: 24334 and B24334.
I think the ML CM-1 Magneto was used on a variety of 1920’s and early 30’s single cylinder motorcycles. It was designed as a lightweight mag with the same punch as the heavier ones. According to the ML magneto brochure at the time, it was for use on 2 stroke and well as 4-stroke motorcycles. (You had better be the judge of that as 2-stroke ran at twice the speed!)
