1953 Triumph T100 engine parts for rebuild, cases, barrels, crank, con rods, head

1953 Triumph T100 engine parts for rebuild, cases, barrels, crank, connecting rods, cylinder head with valves.

I’ve had this lot sitting in a box waiting for a project. That’s not now going to happen, so it’s time to let it all go.

Overall, the parts are in decent condition, with one or two small repairs as described here and shown in the images.

It’s a good start for an early pre-unit Triumph 500cc twin engine rebuild. There are parts missing, so please study the images to see what is included.

Cases: Number is T100 32810, placing it as a 1953 construction. They are in decent condition, with a few marks from use but no obvious damage or cracks.  Cases are matching halves.

Cylinder head: Iron, with valves installed, but no collets or springs. There is one decent repair to one of the front rocker cover fastenings. The fins are in decent condition. The whole head could do with a good clean. One of the exhaust stubs is a bit chipped.

Barrels: They’ve been repainted. The fins look OK, although I imagine that there must be at least one repair under the paint. I didn’t paint them, so I don’t know about repairs. Just surmising. The bores look nice. Bore measures about 63.94mm. Some of the paint has chipped off.

Crank and pair of connecting rods: As you see them. Please don’t assume that they are ok to fit. Bearings are unchecked and may be good. They might not be.
