BSA Bantam D7 1960 Project for sale. Much of the work has been done but the previous owner has lost interest.
It comes with a V5C registration document and has a great number plate that is transferable. This makes the Bantam a very cheap project if you decide to sell the number plate.
The registration is VAW 52
The engine and frame numbers are clear and un-molested.
This is a great little starter project for someone wanting to get into a Bantam project. The engine turns over on the kick starter. It selects gears. It has not been run, so you will need to assume that the engine will need checking over.
The handlebars are the correct welded-lug type. The paint is a bit rough here and there. If you’re going to make a “minter”, then you will need to re-do the paint.
I’ve done my best to show what is included in the images, but here is a short list:
Rolling frame to include frame, petrol tank and cap, forks, fork shrouds, swing arm, rear wheel and brake plate, front wheel and brake plate, seat base (rusty but good for a pattern), rider and passenger footpegs, centre stand, engine with kick starter and gear lever, rear brake pedal, mudguards and correct handlebars with levers, decent wheel rims (with some marks from storage) and good tyres.
Other parts not yet fitted: Old wiring and control cables, throttle and cable, carburettor (fitted), headlight cowl, headlamp and surround, speedometer, chainguard, toolbox / airbox covers (L and R), centre airbox cover, inner cover, chain, NEW clutch plates, a good exhaust and silencer (Slight marks to the silencer from storage) and a small box of various fixings.
