Vintage crossover motorcycle gearbox Exposed kick start quadrant Sturmey Archer?

Update: Thankfully, someone (Robert) was able to enlighten me about this gearbox.

It dates around 1930 – 33

It was made by Sturmey Archer for the Reliant Motorcycle Company as a variant of the 4-speed crossover box. It has three forward gears and a reverse. (Maybe “RV” is for Raleigh Van or abbreviated “ReVerse”?)

These gearboxes were fitted to the early Raleigh small commercial vans. They had Raleigh girder forks, fuel tank, engines and gearboxes, with a commercial box on the back that could take a  5cwt (560lb) payload.

Before Raleigh bought the rights to the design, they were supplying the kit to a company that made the Ivy Karryall. In around 1930 Raleigh acquired the rights. The Karryall had a 348cc engine and the revised Raleigh Light Delivery Van (LDV) had a 598cc engine and Raleigh fuel tank and girder forks.

Two studs are missing, so this is a 4-stud mount box. There’s a tiny bit of damage as shown in the pics. The kickstart does the job.
