Joseph Lucas #344 Nickel plated carbide acetylene rear tail lamp for flat tank vintage and veteran motorcycles.
This rear light is one of a number from a collection. They are all now going up for sale as I have no need for them. This is #2 of the Lucas 344 rear tail lights.
This Lucas rear lamp is in nice used condition. The nickel plate is worn on places but generally good. As you can see from the close-up images, there is a small amount of pitting. The hinge for the rear lens works well. It has the wick holder fitted and the mounting bracket has the correct fixings in place.
These little lamps are hard to find now. They are especially difficult to find in this condition, with a little patina.
Please see my selection of acetylene / carbide lamps. I have burners, front lamps and more rear ones. The lamps include more Lucas #344 nickel plated carbide acetylene rear tail lamps. There are also a variety of Miller and P& H lights, together with more unusual Westwood “bullet shaped” lamps and one made by Rival. I also have some Miller Rearlite nickel plated, port and starboard, acetylene lamps. Please look through the current selection of lamps that are available here
