Powell & Hanmer (P&H) original Rear Tail carbide acetylene lamp for flat tank vintage veteran motorcycles.
P& H Model Number 135.
This rear light is one of a number from a collection. They are all now going up for sale as I have no need for them.
This P & H rear lamp has had some silver paint added inside on the rear face. Presumably, someone actually used this once! I guess they wanted it to reflect a little more. There is a wick burner installed. It is an authentic, original, rear lamp for a flat tank vintage / veteran motorbike. It has patina without being ruined. The clasp is works fine and the mounting bracket has the 3 fixings attached.
These little lamps are hard to find now.
This rear lamp measures around 2.5″ in height including the chimney.
Please see my selection of acetylene / carbide lamps. I have burners, front lamps and more rear ones. The lamps include more Lucas #344 nickel plated carbide acetylene rear tail lamps. There are also a variety of Miller and P& H lights, together with more unusual Westwood “bullet shaped” lamps and one made by Rival. I also have some Miller Rearlite nickel plated, port and starboard, acetylene lamps. Please look through the current selection of lamps that are available here
