Sunbeam model 16 250 Long Stroke OHV rocker box with rocker arms 1934 to 1936.
That’s what I believe it is off. I have a Model 14, 250cc, and my rocker box doesn’t look like this one. After a great deal of research, the only Sunbeam model that it looks like it belongs to, is the Model 16. There is a number on the box. It’s difficult to read. If you have one of these machines, you will probably have a parts book. The number looks like L 1733. It’s shown in the pictures.
The Model 16 didn’t last long in production. It was introduced at the November 1934 at the Olympia Show, London. Despite its sporty looks with a large carburettor, hairpin valve springs and OHC look-alike timing case, it only lasted 2 years.
I’ve had this little rocker box for a while. I bought it on a whim as I was collecting all sorts of parts for Sunbeam OHV bikes at the time. Now, I’m having a clear-out.
Please look at the pictures. It has had a weld repair. I have shown both outside and inside in that area. It’s an old repair and seems to have don the job. No-one has attempted to tidy the repair yet.
The box includes the rockers. They will need to be freed up a bit more.
There you have it. A Sunbeam Model 16 250 Long stroke rocker box with outer cover and rockers.
Many more Sunbeam parts coming up for sale.

Shipping: I usually ship to most destinations. If you don’t see a price, please ask. Thanks. International shipping available.
Collection: If you don’t want it shipped, I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.
Import Taxes: (I need to mention this as I had someone buy something from me and they were based in Europe. They thought I should list the item including all taxes and shipping. Considering import duties vary enormously, this is impractical even if it was possible). Please note that IMPORT DUTIES are not something I can control. If you are buying from outside the UK, there is a chance that you will have to pay import taxes. Import taxes vary from country to country. If there are charges to pay, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research the cost and pay the duties. The price that you see on my advert is for the item and not the item plus whatever taxes might be due.
