1923 Humber 600cc flat tank motorcycle in lovely original condition.
This Humber 4.5 HP flat-twin 600cc vintage motorcycle is coming up for auction.
Here is a brief video of this lovely old bike. It will need some love but has good bones. Not much missing and it has the important original parts.
It has compression. I wouldn’t say it was great, but it’s a good start.
It has most parts, so would make an excellent “patina” machine.
Some notes:
- The seat is decent, except that the leather top is not attached.
- Has brake mechanisms. These are sometimes missing.
- The wheel rims are decent, considering it hasn’t been touched.
- It has both stands.
- Original carb
- No idea if the EIC mag is any good. However, there is a bodge around the area where the lead enters the magneto pickup. You will probably just need a pickup.
- There is a significant dent in the top of the tank, midway. I have photographed it. It’s not a crease, so it might come out.
- No drive belt
- No lights.
